In collaboration with the groups of Prof. V. Subramaniam (University of Twente, the Netherlands) and Prof. O.I. Tolmachev (Institute of Organic Chemistry, Kyiv, Ukraine) the research project “Development of fluorescent dyes for specific detection of amyloid protein nanostructures causing neurodegenerative diseases” is carried out in frames of Science and Technology Center in Ukraine (STCU) and National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU) grant.

We collaborate with the group of Prof. Alexander Kotlyar (Department of Biochemistry, Tel Aviv University, Israel) in the field of the study of dyes binding with the four-stranded DNA motifs.

In cooperation with Prof. Alexandre Boutorine (Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle, Paris, France) we work on development of the groove-binding probes specific to the double-stranded DNA sequences and on the study of dye-DNA interaction.

Combinatorial Chemistry Department collaborates with Dr. Alexander S. Tatikolov (Institute of Biochemical Physics, Moscow, Russia) in the field of study of photophysical processes in the dye molecules and their complexes with biological molecules.

Since 2006 we collaborate with the group of Prof. Paulo F. Santos (Department of Chemistry, The University of Tras-os-Montes and Alto Douro, Vila Real, Portugal) in the field of the study of spectral-luminescent properties of squaraine dyes as fluorescent probes for the detection of biological molecules.

In cooperation with Dr. Olexander V. Manaev (D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia, Moscow, Russia) spectral-luminescent characteristics of styryl dyes and their interaction with biological molecules are studied.

In collaboration with Prof Yuriy V. Malyukin from the Institute for Scintillation materials (STC "Institute for Single Crystals", NAS of Ukraine, Kharkiv, Ukraine) we study the aggregation processes of dyes in aqueous solutions as well as in the presence of nucleic acids.

From 2003 the group of Prof. Fernando Secco (the Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry Department of the University of Pisa, Italy) collaborates with our Lab in the field of the kinetic and thermodynamic study of cyanine dyes interaction with DNA.

We collaborate with Dr. Piero Bianco (Department of Microbiology and Immunology of State University New York at Buffalo, USA) in the field of development of fluorescent dyes for the dsDNA visualization in single molecule detection experiments.

Research Group of Photonics of Organic Media under the guidance of Prof Valeriy M. Yashchuk (Physics Faculty, Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University) collaborates with our group in study of the energy transfer processes in DNA-cyanine dye system.
